Aufgabe
In unfamiliar and complex buildings or areas such as an airport, train station or campus, guidance, routing and information systems help us to find our way around. Just as important as opening up a building or area and finding your way around is the way out - back into the open. In a playful, ironic, professional and practical way, the interdisciplinary field of signal ethics is to be explored in order to design an orientation system for the complex hall building of the IAK.

With this design we would like to give an overview of the Institute of Applied Arts. In an abstract form, it reflects the building and its rooms and paths. Placed in the entrance area of the institute, the object is intended to encourage students and visitors to recognize the building in a playful way and at the same time offers the opportunity for exchange and encounters. The sculpture deals in an artistic, abstract way with the passage and spatial allocation of seminar groups or visitors. At the top, a dried pea is thrown into one of the tubes. You have to find out where the pea comes out by communicating with each other. The project was created in collaboration with Josepha Zadow and Ahmad Koké.
