Task

The aim of the project is to expand the heavily frequented public park with a building that fulfills the desire for a common platform for exchange. To this end, the conceptual idea of the park must be taken further and the Golden Poodle Club must be actively maintained or reinstalled. The building should expand the park with a workshop and studio area, as well as a work yard that promotes collective collaboration. A public communal area is also to be installed, which will serve as a platform for exchange and discussion. Above this, private retreat areas are planned to provide housing for the homeless.

Description

In my design, it was particularly important to me to give everyone the opportunity to design their own space and to allow them to walk around freely. With the scaffolding, I want to create an open space that also develops a sense of space. Space is defined by contour. When exploring the design, very different feelings of space can be experienced: The passage within the scaffolding; the light suspended boxes and the massive topography. The design has no specific spatial sequence and can be experienced individually by everyone. The principle is that you can move freely through the system; some rooms attract attention and then you enter the rooms. The paths are laid out in such a way that there is a direct connection between the two Park Fiction sites. In addition, there is a kind of third usable park fiction area on the topography. The design can thus be categorically divided into three areas. Firstly, the lower area, which is used as a workspace. This is where the workshop, work yard, delivery and storage are located. Secondly, all the rooms in the "Presentation" category (multifunctional room, studios, Park Fiction exhibition) are located at the level of the Park Fiction area. They can only be reached by registering at the information desk or administration. The openings are directed upwards to achieve maximum comfort.
